Inner Thigh Lift (Thighplasty)
DURATION
The operation usually lasts about 2-2.5 hours. The patient must stay at hospital for 24 hours after surgery.
ANESTHESIA
This procedure is usually performed under sedation or general anesthesia.
INCISIONS
The incisions are hidden inside the underwear or swimming suit. They are placed in the area of pubic up to the gluteal fold.
RETURN TO EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES
The patient is allowed to shower from the next day after surgery. The patient can return to work, usually, in five to seven days after surgery. Sports are allowed after a month, whilst it is recommended to avoid exercises for inner thigh muscles during the first 3 months following surgery.
RESULTS
If the inner thigh lift surgery is combined with liposuction then the final result will be visible 6 months after surgery. The scars will take their final form after a year.
The Inner Thigh Lift Surgery or Thighplasty is a surgery that corrects the slackening in the inner part of the thigh (usually after massive weight loss). This procedure involves the removal of excess skin, fat, and tissue to tone and refine the upper legs. In most of the cases, it is combined with liposuction if there is excessive body fat in the area.
Patients don’t feel severe postoperative pain, only a slight discomfort when standing up or sitting down but only for a few days.
Sutures After an Inner Thigh Lift Surgery are all absorbable. Postoperatively there aren’t any patches or bandages used. The wound is cleaned and stays dry for the first 24 hours and the patient wears compressive garments for 2-3 weeks.
